Absence Approval / Cancellation Policy

The Absence Cancellation Policy serves as an essential framework for the Absence Manager to conduct a thorough review of time-off requests. This policy allows managers to evaluate each request based on specific circumstances, enabling them to make informed decisions on whether to approve or reject the request.

The policy encompasses both the process of requesting time off and the process for canceling previously approved time off. In both cases, the workflow begins with the submission of request emails, which initiate the formal approval cycle. These emails outline the reason for the request and any relevant details the manager needs to consider.

Once a request is received, the manager is tasked with reviewing the information provided, along with any applicable company policies or operational needs. This careful assessment ensures that decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with the organization's goals while also taking into account the individual circumstances of each request. Ultimately, the policy aims to balance operational requirements with the well-being of employees, fostering a supportive work environment.

Booking Multiple Absences Per Day

Absence Request: The duration of absence will be categorized as either morning or afternoon, depending on the specific part of the day that is chosen. If an absence is requested for a full day, the total duration will be evenly divided between the morning and afternoon segments. This means that each period will account for half of the total absence time, ensuring a balanced approach to tracking attendance throughout the day.

Global Scheduler: The duration of the absence will be determined based on whether the selected time period is in the morning or afternoon. If the absence covers a full day, the total duration will be divided equally between the morning and afternoon segments, ensuring clear tracking for both parts of the day.

Graphical Scheduler: The duration of an absence can be defined based on the specific part of the day selected, either morning or afternoon. If a full-day absence is chosen, the duration will be divided equally into two segments: one for the morning and one for the afternoon. This ensures that the absence is accurately represented and can be easily managed within the scheduling system.

Manual timesheets: The duration of the absence will be determined based on whether the selected time period is in the morning or afternoon. If the absence covers a full day, the total duration will be divided equally between the morning and afternoon segments, ensuring clear tracking for both parts of the day.
