Should you need to use Virtual Terminal (VT) across multiple time zones for the same customer it requires the following.
1. Create a VT for each time zone you will operate in, name each VT with an identifier e.g. "London VT".
2. Set the time zone to the correct Location on each VT, don't just match the offset check the names of the given cities as you need to account for Daylight Savings.
3. Ensure that all the staff are split into their own department structures, if the locations share common departments then you must replicate the department structure under each physical location e.g.
London
Sales
Admin
Service
Paris
Sales
Admin
Service
etc
then set the default VT ideally on the parent level so that all sub departments inherit the same VT.
Once staff have been allocated to each department in the tree when using VT the time will be displayed as their Time zone accordingly.
Please note staff who are travelling overseas will still be shown in their home time zone unless they use a PHYSICAL clock whilst travelling.
they can not pick the VT they want to use or change the time.
