Flexi-time typically involves a "core" period of the day during which employees are required to be at work (e.g., between 09am. and 5pm.), and a "bandwidth" period within which all required hours must worked (e.g., between 7:30 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.).
The working day outside of the "core" period is "flexible time", in which employees can choose when they work, subject to achieving total daily, weekly or monthly hours within the "bandwidth" period set by the employer.
Employees who work more than their contracted hours accrue ''credit'' flexi time hours.
Any hours where employees fall short of their contracted hours are referred to as ''debit'' flexi time hours.
Employee can use accrued hours to request time off work depending on your company policies.
Employer must set the maximum amount of credit hours allowable under flexi-time scheme.
