Enrolment Agent Setup on Local PC



Bio Mini Enroller agent setup in Local PC


BEFORE INSTALLING ensure you have installed Visual C++ 2008 SP1 32bit do NOT use the 64bit installer use 32bit on all machines.


  1. For web enrolment to work, each client PC will need to have Web Agent running locally.
  2. Next you run the AgentCtrl.exe from the files I shared in attachment (You may need to run it with elevate permission depending on the security set for individual user)


  1. Create Shortcut if required on desktop.




  1. This should start web agent and must display following status (by default it hides under taskbar on the right-hand side)


  4. Don’t Change the Port no(unless already taken by something else on the PC). Leave it as it is to 8084
  5.  Don’t use https for now. 
  6.  Leave the localhost as it is
  7. Keep Alive must be ticked.
  8. Setup Device within TimeLOG Web – Setup done by Synel technical Team.


Go to System Setup – devices

Add device and select the Model – Finger Enrolment, screen will change automatically with limited options.



             Give the Device ID, Description, IP address (Public IP of the client)

              Next go to Settings Tab




               Settings must match from Web Agent i.e. Protocol, domain and the Port no.

               Rest is for you to setup and click Save.


               Go to enrolment screen for enrolling templates.
