Devices (Doors)

Devices are the list of Controllers and the combination of badge readers and other devices associated with each door location.
Respective access control devices must be setup first within Menu - System Setup - Devices in order for them to appear under Menu - Access Control - Devices
Each device on the list can be edited for Readers, Sensors, Cards & Additions.



Add/Edit Readers

      Click on icon against the device to add/edit readers




      Click on the  icon to add reader and fill in the respective parameters as required


  1. Reader Name – Provide a description
  2. Active - Switch ON or OFF to change the status
  3. Global Status – Sets the door to be internal or external access.
  4. Reader Number – the controllers have either 1 or 2 reader ports, this associates the hardware with each socket to nominate which is to be an IN or OUT swipe.
  5. Transaction Type – Specify the direction of Travel or use Door, IN or OUT will result in presence recordings for Fire reports and should be used on Final Entry/Exit points, internal readers should be Door. The use of none will result in no record being created for the door in use but will still allow you to control access eg. Publicly accessible Toilets.
  6. Relay Operation – IN/OUT/Pulse default is to pulse the relay.
  7. Exit Button - Select if Push to exit button is attached and the corresponding sensor input
  8. Door Sensor - Select the corresponding sensor input for door sensor
  9. Door Held open time (Sec) - Defined the time in seconds to trigger event door held open after xx time
  10. Auto Mode - select auto mode from drop down list if applicable
  11. Exclude from Muster - Option to remove transaction occurred on this reader from Muster report
  12. Exclude from Evacuation - Option to remove transaction occurred on this reader from Evacuation report
  13. Exclude from Head Count and Fire Report - Option to remove transaction occurred on this reader from head count and fire report
  14. Reader Type – The expected form of Media
  15. Door Opening Time – How long the door should open for on an accepted swipe in 5th of a second ergo 5 = 1 Second of the door being open.
  16. Relay – Each controller can have up to 2 relays and this associates which relay should be opened on an accepted swipe.
    1. Doors with In & Out Readers in reader sockets 1 & 2 would both use the same relay (default 1) However it is possible to control 2 individual doors if they are to be IN only swiped. So you can have one controller for both doors with reader 1 opening relay 1 and reader 2 opening relay 2.
  17. Pin –allow pin entry on selected models
  18. Finger Templates –optional for selected models
  19. Local APB – User cannot swipe in the same direction twice on this reader.
  20. Global APB – User cannot swipe in the same direction on ANY reader.
 
Add/Edit Emergency Control

      Click onagainst the device and setup parameter as required during an emergency
